PickleCon Kickoff Party at SERV
Kick off the inaugural PickleCon with an unforgettable party at SERV on Thursday, August 8th! This epic event is FREE and open to all ages, promising a night full of excitement and fun for everyone.
Live music from KC's beloved band, Dolewite, will be playing at 7pm followed by DJ Hyden with late night entertainment from 10pm - midnight. A variety of food and drinks are available along with many yard games and of course, pickleball. Don’t miss out on the fun and festivities – this is a night you won’t want to miss!
Eatertainment Tour of KC
Kansas City is home to many unique facilities that combine entertainment, food, and pickleball. On this tour, KC Crew will guide you through the city and give you a first-hand experience of two of them in one evening. Buses will pick you up and drop you off at the convention center during the evening block on Saturday (5-9pm). You will spend roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes at each location, where you can eat, drink and of course, play pickleball. King of the Court style play will be facilitated by your KC Crew guide to maximize playing and socializing time.
There are two Eatertainment Tour options:
1. KC North – heading north from the convention center and visiting Chicken N Pickle North KC and Char Bar.
2. KC South – heading south from the convention center and visiting Chicken N Pickle Overland Park and SERV.
Glow in the Dark Tournament
Turn down the lights and turn up the fun with Glow in the Dark Pickleball hosted by KC Crew! This will be a traditional serve to score-styled tournament where partners can consist of any gender combination, and you are guaranteed 4 games (3 round-robin games with all teams making a single elimination tournament) under backlights. There will be three different divisions available: 2.5-3.0, 3.0-3.5 and 3.5-4.0 during the Friday Evening Block (5-9:30pm) of the event.
Senior Breakfast Open Play Presented by Optum
The Senior Breakfast Open Play provides a FREE opportunity for seniors (50+) to play more pickleball and meet new people without having to worry about any youngsters around. The event will take place Saturday morning from 6-7:30am before event hours so will not interfere with any of your tournament play or other event activities. All 70 courts on the expo floor will be available for open play while light music will be playing over the speakers. Breakfast will also be provided in a room downstairs for further community opportunities (exact room will be announced at a later point). Participants must have a Player Pass to participate in this activity.
Audacy Network Grudge Match
On Friday, August 9th from 7 - 8pm, Audacy KC will be on center court in an all out grudge match - where talent from 106.5 the Wolf and 99.7 the Point will face off as well as 610 Sports Radio and 98.1 KMBZ! Don't miss this all out battle between on air talent to claim the Audacy pickleball championship!
