PickleCon Kickoff Party at SERV
Come help us kickoff the inaugural PickleCon Thursday night at SERV in Overland Park! This unique indoor/outdoor facility offers a variety of food and beverage options, pickleball courts and live entertainment. More details to come! Please note that this event will overlap with the evening block on Thursday so plan accordingly when you select your tournament block.
Eatertainment Tour of KC
Kansas City is home to many unique facilities that combine entertainment, food, and pickleball. On this tour, KC Crew will guide you through the city and give you a first-hand experience of two of them in one evening. Buses will pick you up and drop you off at the convention center during the evening block on Saturday (5-9pm). You will spend roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes at each location, where you can eat, drink and of course, play pickleball. King of the Court style play will be facilitated by your KC Crew guide to maximize playing and socializing time.
There are two Eatertainment Tour options:
1. KC North – heading north from the convention center and visiting Chicken N Pickle North KC and Char Bar.
2. KC South – heading south from the convention center and visiting Chicken N Pickle Overland Park and SERV.
Glow in the Dark Tournament
Turn down the lights and turn up the fun with Glow in the Dark Pickleball hosted by KC Crew! This will be a traditional serve to score-styled tournament taking place during the Friday evening block (5-9:30pm). Partners can consist of any gender combination, and you are guaranteed 4 games (3 round-robin games with all teams making a single elimination tournament) utilizing a Franklin glow-in-the-dark ball under backlights. There will be three different divisions available: 2.5-3.0, 3.0-3.5 and 3.5-4.0.
Senior Breakfast Open Play Presented by Optum
The Senior Breakfast Open Play provides a free opportunity for seniors (50+) to play more pickleball and meet new people without having to worry about any youngsters around. The event will take place Saturday morning from 6-7:30am before event hours so will not interfere with any of your tournament play or other event activities. All 105 courts on the expo floor will be available for open play while light music will be playing over the speakers. Breakfast will also be provided in a room downstairs for further community opportunities (exact room will be announced at a later point). Participants must have a Player Pass to participate in this activity.
Midnight Madness Open Play
Midnight Madness Open Play is for those who still haven’t had enough pickleball yet. Friday night, from 10pm-12am, all 105 courts on the expo floor will be available to anyone with the Player Pass to participate. Music over the convention speakers will provide a lively atmosphere for players to connect with new and old friends on the court.
